Your support will help us to make life better living for key populations (KPs).
Registered as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) – Keeping Alive Societies’ Hope (KASH) – to improve the quality of lives of key and marginalized populations. KASH added MSM to its target populations owing to their higher HIV prevalence – reported, then, to be at 43%2. KASH undertook several exciting projects and accumulated skills, know-how, and experiences in HIV response programming, since. FSWs and MSM in Kisumu enjoyed quality and dignified services provided by KASH’s health and justice systems.
We have expanded our scope to 22 counties with different projects under our five strategic pillars (i.e.Integrated Health Services; Human Rights; Economic Empowerment; Governance, Policy and Advocacy; and Organizational Development and Systems Strengthening).
KASH has continued to focus on human rights, health interventions, and economic empowerment for key populations.
Under this program, we provide and strengthen delivery of integrated HIV prevention, care and treatment and other related services to members of the key and marginalized populations.
Under this program, we strive to increase personal incomes of key and marginalized persons, through expansion of their economic literacy and sources of income.
Under this program, we strive to protect and promote the rights of those who are socially excluded and marginalized in the society, due to their gender, sexual orientation, tribe, religion and other discriminative indices
We have a Mission to proactively influence the society to enable key and marginalized populations to access justice, health, good governance and economic empowerment through stakeholder engagements.
We have been dedicated at building the capacity of sex workers and MSM so as to have independent and responsible persons, thus reducing their vulnerability to HIV and violence
Our 60 volunteer trained peer educators have helped us reach out to other sex workers, MSM and people who use drugs (PWUDs) who we would have otherwise not reached
We have 14 trained paralegals who report any human rights violations form time to time in Kisumu, Nyamira and Kakamega counties
With strengthened capacity, ToTs/Civic Champions conduct targeted civic education among the target communities and mobilize them to participate.
